WAR

I'm at war so leave me alone;
I'm out to destroy all I have grown.
I want to dive deep into the past -
and sit there knowing I'll never last.

Trying to forget all I have known.
I'm pushing myself to the point of death;
Not yet having the guts to still my breath.

I'm at war so leave me alone;
Trying to forget the path I've been shown.
I'm out to create my own destiny -
filled with chaos and misery.

I'm at war so leave me alone;
No, please help, don't leave me alone;
Please don't care or I'll fail.
Please just let me know you're there.

Let me drift with the currents I've made;
No, don't let the promises fade.
Let me fail, let me suffer and drown;
Please grab my hand, I'm going down.

I'm at war so don't leave me alone.
I must not succumb to the madness I've grown;
Please stay near me until I'm sure -
that I'm strong enough to win this war.
