                        The Meeting

This morning I went to, meet with my mind.
No compromising - Which side is blind?
The meeting broke up in, harsh words and flames.
Seems I have entered, the war zone again.

Fighting my thoughts and, seeking the truth.
Haunted by visions - remains of my youth.
I seek absolution, freedom from pain.
But my mind is, rebelling again.

So I ride....
I ride the waves of madness once again.
And I hide....
Hide the signs of sadness ... again.
And I roar -
Silent screams of anguish and rage.
So I write ...
Seeking my way through the page.

Yeah this morning I went to, meet with my mind.
Internal conflict, no answers to find.
Perhaps arbitration - but who's fooling who?
You resist me and, I'll resist you.

Tomorrow I think that, we'll meet again.
I'll try to convince him, that we're not insane.
And if we find reason, we'll cut it in two -
A little for me and, a little for you.

But I know -
Confusion will not get the best of me.
And I can show -
Where it's written in stone that I am free.
And I can reach -
Each and every dream that I grow.
And I can find -
All of the things I need to know...
