Leave me in my painful comfort,
As I lose my sanity;
I'll enjoy my peaceful anguish,
Oh, how sweet despair can be!

Watch me as my life collapses,
And my will just disappears;

The reason behind all my fear.

Give me back that strong desire -
To learn how to live again;
Give me back that lust for life,
