EXHAUSTION

Let my blood flow to the ground,
Along with any hope I've found.
Give it up, give it away;
I'm far too tired now to stay.

Let my mind see what it holds;
Break each thought from its mold.
Search for escape from misery;
Let me, let me. let me see!

Let my life fade to black;
I'll not try to win love back.
I'll let the earth claim its prize,
With dry and tearless eyes.

How could I ever learn to care
About what was never there?
Life and death, joy and strife;
I've lost love and the love of life.

See me now betray my soul,
Searching for a hidden goal...
Cry cry cry with me,
In this eternal misery.

Insanity, a welcome relief;
Twisted escape from my grief.
Or death with it's finality...
How sweet that dark would be!

Let my soul have it's peace.
I'll trade this life I lease.
As long as I still exist -
I'll breathe this pain-filled mist.
