That's the dumbest thing I think I've ever heard. The artist can play whatever style of music he wants.....speed,thrash,glam,progressive metal,melodic metal, heavy metal, rock-n-roll, blues, whatever the fuck he wants. And yes, each song would be categorized under a style of music.
Every style has it's own sound and hence name. How the fuck else are you going to differentiate between the different styles.
