My husband remembers a character named Phaltiel Tuck in one of Louis
Lamour's books in the Sackett series,, he thinks, but he can't remember
which book. My great grandfather's name was Phaltiel Tuck, and when I
mentioned that to him, he remembered that name, but not the book.
He has a good memory, and that is an unusual name, so I think he's
probably correct about the character's name. I entered a post to see if
anyone knew which book it was, about 3 years ago, but at that time no
one did, so I'm trying again. However, one of my distant cousins, a
Tuck, whom we had never met, saw the question, e-mailed us, and we
have since visited with him and his family several times. They live in
Texas, less than 200 miles away from us, so something very good came
from this posting even though I didn't get the answer to my question.
He was just searching for information on Phaltiel Tuck, and the question
that I had posted on the Louis Lamour website came up! Thank you,
and I hope that someone knows the answer to our question.
