Looks like it may end up being Bowdrie, but that Sitka sure was good. There was high sea sailing and maneuvering, there was evil, and international intrigue, history and romance. It might have been fun to do the Sackett series more from the 1870's bunch. Actually, any LL for me will do except Haunted Mesa, although another PT read it and wrote the most beautiful explanation in my treasured hard cover first edition! She used to go often to the Four Corners area and beyond for Native American gatherings. She's now somewhere in Idaho, running a restaurant with her new husband, and I hope she is having the time of her life. She was just a little ol' Georgia gal who finally found happiness. I am trying to locate her now. Seems like we all changed careers. I don't guess anyone feels like a marathon like Comstock Lode, but that got me started buying Carson City Morgan Siver dollars, and that's another adventure... Clock me in for Bowdrie, Mike. |
