I like that thought... I had no idea the movie was coming out. How exciting! But usually the movie is nowhere near as good as the book... my imagination coupled with the details written between the lines of the story are usually light years ahead of anything the movie industry could match (they leave so much out!). The one exception to this was "The Horse Whisperer" in which I thought the details left out made the story line better (I didn't care for all of the marital immorality and the way the book ended, which the movie graciously changed). But it would be fun to compare the book and the movie anyway, I think. I did that with Hondo just before school started (read the book and saw the movie the same day!), and I was very disappointed with the movie. I remembered the story so well that I knew when the characters were speaking word for word and when they weren't, and of course the missing details were painfully obvious, leaving a great void in my expectation and excitement. Yet I read an interview with LL in which he said that this was his favorite movie adaptation because it followed the story line the closest. He felt the same as me... the movie shouldn't add or delete anything from the original text (they don't need to with his stories!).

Well... we'll see, huh? :)

Take care guys,
Faun
