Thanks guys, for the comments. I agree that she's probably that woman you all speak of. It makes sense. Regarding Tatton's real name, yes, he does give his name. I don't remember where, but he tells it to someone, and it's something like "Dalkylberry." I'll try to find it in the text. Also, Fergus MacAskill (1st ed., Bantam paperbck, page 116)tells someone, in Tatton's presence, that he's a MacCrimmon. The MacCrimmon clan was supposed to be the greatest bagpipers in all of the Gaelic world, according to MacAskill. Cindi
