You know, I didn't realize this until I read your comment/question, Bernard, but I'd been picturing my grandfather this whole time as Cap. My g-dad always needed a shave--I'd seen him very rarely without his stubble of a beard. He loved to work on things and build things (he was a wonderful carpenter, among his other talents), and consequently was alway slightly grubby =) He was a very gentle man most of the time but if you riled him--watch out. He was most definitely one to ride the river with. If someone messed with him or his family and friends, he was there to back you up. I miss him.
