I guess if we hunkered down and got serious about it there could be a number of interpretations. Daybreak is the beginning of the day, for example, and for Tyrell and Orrin a new life was dawning...I think Bermard alluded to this in his synopsis.

If Tyrell and Orrin were looking at a half glass of water, they would tell us it was half full, but Tom Sunday may have thought it half empty, so a daybreaker may have been viewed from different perspectives for Orrin and Tyrell and Tom. Tell on the other hand, had he been there, could have told them the glass was twice as big as it needed to be.
