Did anybody catch any echoes of "Down the Pogonip Trail" when Tell packed the Kid
down the mountain over a non-trail in the freezing cold and snow?
First time I read Sackett, I was just sure when Tell woke up that morning and went
outside the cave, he was going to say the ice all over everything was due to a Pogonip
fog! I was halfway wondering if they were going to get an avalanche.
"Down the Pogonip Trail" is one of the Bantam Audio editions, too. It's a favorite. If
it's still available, I can recommend it. I don't know what print short-story collection it's
in.
