Ahhh, so there was a support system. I know of a couple of families that hold those types of grudges. My father-in law once didn't speak to his step-daughter for 2 years, and sat next to her at the dinner table every evening. She'd made the grievous mistake at age 30 of "talking back" to her mother.
Twenty years, huh? Whew...did he or she regret it? No, don't tell, I'll read about it in the bio.
