Seriously though, its a tough call on what coulda, woulda, shoulda happened if Tell had walked into the cave on a healthy Kid. This is especially true with Ange there. The Kid wasn't really a bad guy or even a tough one, so his reaction had he been healthy is sorta a question in my mind. Tell just had some fun at the Kids expense in the saloon, and saved the Kids life in the process. Its hard to say how the Kid really felt about it or what he was thinking. He seemed more confused by Tell's reaction in the bar than angry, and his reaction in the cave may have been because of his injuries and having been left by his "friends".

Tell was just being a Sackett when he hauled the Kid off the mountain...even that ol' catamount Logan would have tried to get him to safety. This was done knowing that the Kid might have to be killed later...but with the hope the Kid would grow up before it became necessary.
