If you mean how I, myself, heard the word, then no. "Athapascan" is the current accepted spelling for Athabascan in Webster's. It did used to be Athabascan, the way I remember it, and I don't know why they changed it. Likely it has some grounding in the native language -- it usually does when they change it. (Remember when everybody starting saying "Beijing" instead of Peking?) Athabascan is the second spelling in the dictionary.
