Another of my many interests involves the collecting of National Geographics and anything and everything to do with it. Reading LL and using NG maps is great fun.

The NGS published a map entitled "Ghost Fleet of the Outer Banks", in the September, 1969 issue. The map shows the approximate locations of more than 500 wrecks, the first (known) of which was the British schooner the "Tiger", in 1585, off Ocracoke Inlet between Ocracoke Island and Portsmouth Island.

LL's wreck or perhaps the seed for a story?
