In both Elyse's and Mike's posts regards the names of "tribes", I noted a variation in the spelling of names ... per Elyse .. Athapascans .. Athabascan (Canadian) per Mike ... Algonkian .... Algonquin (Canadian) I presume the same tribes, just different spellings. Perhaps how it was "heard" generated the variants.
