That's what is usually referred to down there as "The Lost Colony," isn't it? Have you been there? I think they must have some interpretive areas, judging from the signs along the road. I remember the story about the little girl, the first English child born. Speculation has it some colonists (who didn't starve or perish from disease) were killed by locals and some were taken into the tribe. Also, the account I read puts the blame on White for not supplying them well enough. I hear you about the archeological digs in Williamfburg. I stood around for an hour just waiting for that scheduled talk when we were there. And when we got to the House of Burgesses, the tour guide got me to play Patrick Henry in their little audience-participation drama. I woulda rather played Harry Lee, and got to say "DEFINITE-LEE!!" he he. Just kidding.
