Yeah, my former art history professor at Washington University (St. Louis) has a bunch of carved marbles from Classical Greece in his home. They are the original works & I felt it was a shame that they weren't in a museum somewhere. When I was in Greece, I was privileged enough to see the Riace Warriors, in a museum, of course. They are absolutely fantastic & I cannot do them justice by merely talking about them. Pictures don't always do justice to such unique works of art. If they were in a private home instead, and I had the power, I would confiscate them & place them on display in a museum. In fact, had I the power, maybe I would even imprison those spiteful grasping academics who arrogantly think the past belongs solely to them. (No prejudice here!) C.
