Well, I'm new to the BOTM forum, so I'm not real sure what kind of discussions the group has. I just noticed last week that May's book was going to be Flint, so I picked up my copy and reread it. There's really not a whole lot I can say about this wonderful book that's not been said before. It is one of my favorites. I love the character of Flint/Kettleman, and I think my favorite scene might be when he goes on a shooting rampage after Baldwin's men beat him half to death. L'Amour's descriptions of the hide-out and the enclosed pastures are wonderful and make me long to find a place like this of my own. Unfortunately, there aren't many lava beds in Northwest Arkansas. Well, I look forward to discussing this book with everyone, I think it was a wonderful choice. WB
