The girl who owned the ranch was a strong one. I liked the way she treated Buckdun at the end. The men of the ranch would folow her anywhere not because of her gender but because she rode for the brand and lead them firmly. She was a leader of men without trying to be a man. She was strong enough to ride with flint not in his shadow. |
